New Patients

We believe that a comprehensive first exam is the best way to begin the process of obtaining a healthy, beautiful smile.  When you first arrive, Dr. Fernandez will complete the exam and discuss your dental health, your concerns and goals, and your individual needs.  During this initial appointment, you will need to provide all of the necessary information relating to your past dental history, medications you are taking, and insurance information.  Please take a moment to download and complete our New Patient Forms, which will save you time on your initial visit.

Medical History

In order to ensure success in our procedures, we will take the necessary time to fully and thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition.  In most cases, we will take a full set of x-rays and in some cases, we will take digital photographs and study models.

What to expect during this exam:

• taking necessary x-rays
• perform a full mouth periodontal measuring which will help determine the health of your gums and if you have signs of gum disease
• complete an oral cancer screening
• check for cavities on every tooth
• evaluate your bite or occlusion
• take intra-oral pictures to help educate you about your oral health
• perform a smile analysis
